A heated version is available to record winter precipitation (hail or snow).

Based on small buckets that tip at 0.2mm, its dry contact signal (Reed bulb type sensor) can be connected to one of the HYDREKA standalone data recorders (Lolog, Vista +, Octopus 4, Octopus LX).

Lolog and Vista + allow local reading of rainfall data recorded on a site. The Octopus LX data recorder has a communication function that allows readings by SMS/GPRS. Octopus 4 allows a sampler to be activated from a specified rainfall value.

The Winfluid interface also provides cumulative rainfall through a metrology report created in Winfluid.
