Xmic is an incredibly advanced yet easily used Ground Microphone System. The latest acoustic and amplification technology provides excellent sound quality, whilst a range of features help effective and accurate pinpointing on site.
The Xmic ground microphone uses the latest technology in acoustic leak sounding systems. This innovation uses MLP (Minimum Level Profiling) and a graphic display for histogram comparisons, making this an extremely effective leak confirmation and survey tool.

The visual display helps the user to determine the maximum leak noise with even greater confidence. As the operator searches for a leak the Xmic records the minimum level of continuous noise (i.e. the leak noise) transmitted at three second intervals. This enables the operator to graphically compare leak noise levels and therefore gain greater confidence in pinpointing and confirming the leak position.
The dynamic acoustic sensitivity meter shows the level of noise received and the easy-to-use filters are selected for bandpass, bandwidth or position on a sliding scale.
Xmic is supplied as standard with high quality headphones, wind-protected foot sensor, control unit, charger, interconnecting leads and manual. The operator can select hard case or soft satchel. The hand Held probe with rods (for soft ground and fitting sounding) is an option.
